TUMWATER, WA – Today, Let’s Go Washington was notified by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that Antifa-affiliated individuals and groups are actively calling for acts of violence and intimidation against volunteers and supporters at a signature-gathering event scheduled for this weekend in Tumwater.
“Antifa’s goal is to threaten and intimidate Washington citizens into silence,” said Brian Heywood, founder of Let’s Go Washington. “It won’t work. We have already endured unprecedented political violence throughout this campaign—including more than 50 documented physical assaults and even a hit-and-run by a thief trying to make off with stolen signatures—yet Washingtonians continue to stand up for fairness in girls’ sports, the restoration of parental rights, and common-sense reforms.”
Let’s Go Washington remains committed to peacefully exercising its constitutional rights to gather signatures for two initiatives that would protect fairness in women’s sports and restore parental notification.
The Tumwater Police Department has been an outstanding partner throughout this process, maintaining open lines of communication to ensure the safety of everyone attending this weekend’s event. Additional private security measures will also be in place.
Let’s Go Washington is urging the Washington Education Association, its president Larry Delaney, and the coalition Washington Families for Freedom to immediately stop circulating false and inflammatory claims that have contributed to a surge in threats against citizens collecting signatures for ballot initiatives.
Despite repeated incidents over the past two years in which heated political rhetoric has led to real-world intimidation and violence, Governor Bob Ferguson and Attorney General Nick Brown have not publicly called on their largest campaign donors—who fund and control these groups—to temper the inflammatory language being used against Washingtonians exercising their constitutional right to petition.
Let’s Go Washington believes the safety of citizens engaged in the democratic process must come before partisan politics. We call on the Governor and Attorney General to join us in condemning threats of any kind and to hold their own financial supporters to the same standard they demand of others.
“We will not be silenced by intimidation or even violence,” Heywood added. “Girls deserve fairness in sports, and parents have a right to know what’s going on in their child’s classroom, we are proud to continue fighting for those rights.”

On October 4, 2025, Antifa-affiliated individuals attempted to coordinate hitting a peaceful bystander in the head with a wooden stake. Luckily, moments before the assault occurred a security officer blocked the blow and the Antifa individual was detained.
